What does the June 30th consolidation deadline mean for 1Ls?

I'm not very loan savvy, but I'm wondering if I am eligible to consolidate and lock in the current low interest rate by the June 30 deadline if I am starting as a 1L in the fall?  I'm thinking no...but any advice would be helpful!

All you can do is consolidate the loans you might have had before that time (i.e., from undergrad.)

if we have loans from undergrad can we consolidate now and then again after law school? i think consolidation seems like the right thing to do, but not if i can only do it once...in that case, i should probably wait until i have all my loans to consolidate, i.e. after law school......anyone know anything about this or have some advice? thanks!

You can consolidate as many times as you want as long as you have a new loan to consolidate with.  So you should be able to consolidate now and then again after law school.  Check with your lender though because there are different kinds of loans and consolidating them might lose you some benefits...
