i have given up on cornell, there won't even be need-based aid if we get in!!

Actually I asked about that when I visited, and was not that was not necessarily the case.

okay i called today and can't tell you guys how frstrated i am here's the deal.....

right now there is NO need based aid, but there may be some down the line if the right ppl withdraw

as far as getting a response on our "reserve status" they are reviewing applications and hope to have some decisions out later this week via snail mail (i know what you're thinking first "some decisions" and then "snail mail") so they told me to call back towards the end of friday or early monday to see if anything has happened with my application, or if/when the status checker changes

i'm speechless as much as i want to attend this is ridiculous.....

oh one more thing, i already sent in a LOCI 2 months ago, do you guys think it woul dbe a good idea to drop them an email reaffirming my intentions?

Schools usually keep records of who calls and when, so I imagine that your call to ask about the timeline (assuming you gave your name) should be a fairly good indication that you are still interested.

did anyone else's status checker change this week?  mine was at "decision" since who knows when and now it's at "early action complete."  any thoughts?

Mine still says decision as it has done for the last 8 months! Let us know what you find out about the change.

Just got in guys.  My status checker went from decision to complete.  I hope all of you get this good news today.
