I was just looking at LSN... and no one got off the waitlist last year, and only 1 person the year before 

I know LSN isnt everyone, but those are quite depressing stats.

Yeah, but I believe LSN activity drops off big time after April or May decisions. I imagine that a lot of WL accepted people don't even bother going back to update their profiles.

Still, we're not getting into Cornell this cycle. That's safe to assume.

yea, ur probably right about the drop off after may.  any specific reason you think we're not getting off the waitlist this cycle?

You guys still have a shot. They usually have a pretty crummy yield. But the class size is so small it might be hard for LSN to pick up those accepted off the WL.

I know from last year, cornell stated it was only taking about 10-12 people off their waitlist and that happened the week before classes started (some pulls occured the day of classes)...hth

who did you hear that from (my best friend is waitlisted at cornell) and whats hth?

I was a cornell undergrad and two of my friends were involved in last year's cycle (they are current 1L's now)- this info was from them.

Yeah, I'm on that list too, hoping but not banking on getting in. from what I've heard/read I guessing my chances are someing like 10 in 500, that is 1 in 50...
Has anybody talked to the Admissions office directly?

i visited and was told there were about 250 on the reserve list, hth
