If I defer an acceptance, am I prohibited from applying to schools next cycle? Does this vary by school?

Depends on the school, a friend and I did it from different schools. He is allowed to apply to other schools while mine is completly binding.

I wouldn't have enough balls to test it and find out.
If you dont want to go to a school, dont go, it is as simple as that.

Some old post said that UVA's deferral is not binding. But no other school's information.
Hope someday we can get a list of which ones are binding and which ones are not.
