Netflix started punishing me for renting too many DVDs. I was wondering why it magically started taking them an extra day to "receive" my DVD and an extra day to send it out. Also, all of their damn DVDs are scratched. Some of Blockbuster's are scratched too, but at least I can take it back to the store. If I had to send a scratched DVD back to Netflix they just punished me MORE as a "high-volume renter".
Then the new $17.99 Blockbuster deal comes through. Three videos out, one free & clear in-store rental per month, PLUS I can turn the videos in at the store, check out a new one and they STILL start shipping the next on my queue.
Convenient since I have gotten into the TV shows... in the last few months (among other new releases and classics) I've watched - 4 seasons of The Shield, two seasons of Deadwood, two seasons of Curb Your Enthusiasm, one season of Desperate Housewives, the season of Rome (and yes it's awesome), and just now started in on Big Love and The Wire.
All they need now is DVDs of "Intervention" and I'll never come out of my house again.
