Everyone bats this around but here are my cited facts

I stated this before and giraffe posted a sweet nalp link

with the exception of top 20, how you do matters alot more than where you go

tier 4 grads with 3.0 makes 3,000$ less than people in schools rnaked 21-100 with 3.0's

the big difference is  at the top 3.5-4.0 other than that there is not much difference look at the numbers yourself. That being said, since better schools generally have higher curves a 3.0 is easier to get at a tier 1 while a t4 it might be top 20

Very cool chart.  Thanks for the info!  Really cool stuff.

One problem.   I am not sure it is fair to lump schools 21-100 in the same category.  The first two categories are 10 schools, and then the 3rd is 80 schools.   There is a decent amount of differences between those schools.  I would like to see how schools 21-30 compare to the T4 and T4, or at least broken down between 21-50 and 50-100.   I think that would be more accurate and better for comparisons.   The bottom of the 100 is almost T3 (some go back and forth between T3 and top 100), but their numbers are being counted in the 21-100.

Nevertheless, the T3 and T4 salary stats are still pretty darn impressive.  Certainly can still make some "mad bling."

But what do you have to do to make that "mad bling?" Here's a hint: look at the back cover of the yellow pages.

why does a 3.75-4.00 gpa make you less than the 3.5-3.74 and even less than the 3.25 to 3.49 at the T1 schools?

Maybe the top GPA people at those schools do a lot of public interest/government work?

So if I go to a T4 and graduate in the top of my class I'm only gonna make $80,000?  What about the PhD I have?  Doesn't that get me an additional $20,000 in salary at least?

Is your PhD in a hard science?

Lumping 21-100 all together is ridiculous.  Obviously there is a huge difference between schools around 21-50 and 51-100.

I agree , but If the organization conducting this study is represented of the legal field's a opinion, then even thought I personally feel 21-100 is rediculous it may actually be relevant. Perhaps teh designation mean more than you see at first. 21-100 very strong regionally perhaps? I mean whats the designation between  high tier 4 and low tier 3 I really don't see one in certain arena t4's outscore t3's but their admission number are lowe. It was very intersting indeed. As faar as the phone book remark the remainder of tha document covers 96 pages of info including reported job satisfcation and happiness, solos owned most everyone though mid law seemed to be happier in more categories.
