If you do have to wait until the end of May, and you have some flexibility, Hotwire is a great place to find good deals on last minute air fare.  Just something to think about... At least you won't be stuck shelling out $700 for a last minute flight.

If we haven't got accepted into USC yet, can we pretty much be assured we won't get any financial aid?

That's a good question that I didn't even consider yet.

I just called and they had no answer on my app yet. Decisions will be out in the next week or two she said. Meanwhile, I'm putting down my deposit at GW today. $200 dollars down the drain if I get into USC.
