i was also told that there has been a significant decrease in applicants, so most people on the waitlist will probably get in.

This is horrible logic.

USC has no official waitlist, which is even more frustrating. We are stuck in some limbo pergatory.

I don't want to go to a school that can't get its act together. That's why I'm giving them two weeks to get their house in order, then posing an ultimatum to USC, and making a final decision.

I was so understanding in the beginning, now I'm becoming radical.

the same thing is happening to me and uc davis. had my application complete in november, and no word of being waitlisted or anything even though i've asked them a few times. and what's worse is i believe i totally have the numbers to get in. they should be knocking on my door, not the other way around! :P

you posted yesterday and said that you called - does that mean they had already made a decision on your file when you called, but didn't tell you over the phone?

i live in california and have received nothing, so i would not assume it's by location. maybe they are going through people with similar numbers and then moving on down the lsat scale like someone else suggested?
