if you can deal with a smaller screen & keyboard then id say the X60

Well, the keyboard, for the most part, is full-sized, right? I'm having a heck of a time deciding based on screen size. I think I'll just have to wait and try them both.

FWIW, when I ordered mine, I was told the shipping date was 5/26, and it arrived over a week ago.  :)

Does this seem like a good deal for a Dell or should I wait for a better one - 14'' Inspiron E1405 w/ 1.66 Dual Core, 1 GB Ram, 60 GB hard drive, DVD burner, wireless card, and 3 yr warranty for about $1038 shipped?  It seems to have everything I need, but I don't really have to have it until August, and I wonder if they'll have better deals later on.

Looks good.

Any of the Duo Cores or Pentium M's are fine for what we do, I think at least. A Gig of RAM seems like a must. What type of warranty? Some are next day some are on site and some are ship in (which you probably do not want). You may also want to shell out the extra cash for the accidental damage plan since we're all going to be fairly mobile with ours.

I saw that deal yesterday, I'm really thinking about getting it also. Especialy since it comes with the docking thing, and , wireless keyboard/mouse. Even with the warrenty it is a lot of computer for the money, and not so heavy either.

I got something pretty close to that, but only a 1 year warranty, I paid about $850, so it sounds pretty good.

By the way what I did was find Dell coupons on Ebay, 30% off and $35 off.  Combined those for the good deal.

Definately has everything you will need either way.

I just hooked up the exact same computer for $747 shipped, (all but the 3yr warranty, mine was just 1)...here's the coupn code: QP?K?9CKBV?4B? I found it here:

http://www.gotapex.com

It expires 5/25 at 5:59am central.

If you don't feel comfortable using it Dell is running 22% off deal for their 22nd anniversary...don't know how long it's going to last though.  I'm sorry if this sounds like spam, but it's really not.

Should I pay the extra $39 and upgrade to the Truelife screen?
