The email said that it was sent to a group of applicants that GULC would turn to in the case seats opened following the June 1 deposit deadline.  It asked to reply whether or not the applicant was still interested in accepting a seat at Georgetown or if any pressing deadlines were coming up for other schools.

I would think some people would have heard something today.  Anyone?

I think the e-mail from Sophia Sim said we'll hear something by tomorrow.

I thought the most recent e-mail mentioned a different date.  I don't have access to it right now, but I thought it was June 12 or 13.  At this point, I suppose the only right answer is we'll hear something when we hear something.  Stupid tautologies.

Not even by June 12, but by the week of June 12.  So I'm giving it until June 17 before we should be worried about not hearing anything.
I'd send that second deposit to GW.

Thanks for pointing that out.  Apparently, I had misread it.  My (completely unfounded) guess is that a few people will be taken off the list between this Thursday and next Friday, but we'll just have to wait and see.

I already sent the second deposit to GW. I figure that if I hear from GULC, it'll be a nice summer surprise.

What email said the weekend of June 12?  Was that the second waitlist email (i.e. the "shortlist" one).  I thought the original email stated that we would hear something by June 7th??? Is this just a sign of my impending doom?
161, 3.64.... fingers crossed for something, anything really

The most recent e-mail, from a few days ago, mentioned the week (not weekend) of June 12.  And I think you are right -- an earlier e-mail did mention June 7.  I wouldn't take any of this to be a sign of impending doom.  Now, 06/06/06 on the other hand, that is definitely a sign of impending doom.
