Accepted off the waitlist at Georgetown today!

Finally my procrastination has reaped some benefits.  Had I already sent in that other deposit, I would be out $200.

Wow, super congratulations.  I'm a fellow PWL person, so I'm a little jealous.  You were PPWL though, right?

Just wondering, did you do anything like write extra letters of interest?

I also jsut got in today. They sent an email signed by Cornblatt where he said the decision was in the mail and I would be happy with the result. Heres the text of the letter:

I am e-mailing you today with some news from Georgetown Law Center.
Our policy does not allow us to give decisions by e-mail, but I can say
this-when you receive your letter from our office, I feel certain you
will be pleased (subtle enough?).
Within the next twenty-four hours, you will be able to access the
admitted student website. The website provides a wealth of information about
the Law Center including the online financial aid application and
on-campus housing application.  To access the admitted student site, click
on the link from the main Georgetown University Law Center admissions
page, www.law.georgetown.edu/admissions.  If you havenít already
established a username and password from our online or status check systems,
just follow the instructions posted at the login prompt.
In the next few days, you should receive a package containing
administrative and academic information.  Meanwhile, here are a few dates to
keep in mind.  To hold your space in the entering class, the first tuition
deposit of $250 is due on May 8th.  Also, if you are interested in
housing, the deadline is May 1st to submit the housing application.
Finally, if you intend to apply for any type of financial aid, please begin
the process immediately to ensure timely results.  The Financial Aid
Office will give priority handling to any applicant whose materials are
received by May 12th.
Iíve read over 11,000 applications this year, and I can tell you how
difficult this process has been.  I appreciate your patience and am
delighted to be giving you this news.  I hope you will join us here at
Georgetown next fall.
Congratulations again,

Andy Cornblatt

I sent them emails of continuing interest.  Didn't do anything terribly elaborate.  And yeah, I was on the PPWL.

Congrats! For both of you, was this for PT or FT? Also, how often did you e-mail them?
