no car for me.  it's kind a plus for me because i don't like driving at all.  i was considering getting a zipcar membership for those times i might need a car (like when i get there mid-august), but i don't qualify due to my great driving record until next year.

That is a really good idea. I may check that out. How'd your housing search turn out?

Is everyone signed up for the LSD students & graduates board? I'd like to keep in touch over the course of next year, even if we're in different sections.

You guys might want to check out I-GO, a nonprofit car sharing group.  In the Bay Area, we use City Car Share, which is also a nonprofit.  I think its rules aren't as stringent as, say, Flexcar or zipcar.

I ended getting a studio at McClurg Court.  I've actually never seen the place, but from what I heard from you and my friend, it seemed decent for the price.

Anyone play racquetball? I hear NU's gym has courts.

I'm living on the fourth floor.  They told me it was the cheapest studio in the whole building.  Hopefully that's not a bad thing.  I plan on moving in between the 19th-21st  What about you?

I "play" racquetball.  The last time I played was about 2 years ago.  I think I played maybe 15-25 times in college.  My roommate in college use to destroy me 15-0(it goes up to 15 right?).  I'd score one or two points on a lucky day.

Sweet. I haven't played in well over a year, and when I did play, I was so-so.

Does anyone know when we will be getting our schedule? I'd like to buy books and such, so I can start reading.

Thanks.

I already have mine, and have done complete outlines for 3 classes. HTH

edit: I went by the bookstore today, and they were setting up the law section. The guy working there said that info should be up in the next few days.

I hope that isn't true....

Does NU actually have a gym, btw? I wasn't sure if they did, and heard from various sources that they didn't/were building one but it was going to be small/etc.

My understanding is that the gym is under construction or being repaired. I was told the gym should be done by the time school starts.
