My host took me to Pierce's during ASW.  That was some dang good BBQ...Prices weren't bad, either.

I will indeed be "rockin' a Mac" at W&M.  I converted during UG, and the local Mac store had an insane deal on refurbished G3 iBooks for $369.  Couldn't pass that up.  I'll only be using it for word processing and internet access, so top-o-the-line specs aren't a must for me.

I'll be bringing a Mac too. I was happy to learn at ASW that W&M is platform neutral when it comes to exam software. Apparently, you can take exams anywhere on campus. All you have to do is print the answer out and turn it in. The honor code sounds like it really keeps the atmosphere collegial and honest.

Does anybody know what classes 1Ls will be required to take first semester? I saw a list in the other W&M ASW thread, but I wasn't sure if that was correct or not ... (I heard that we'd take Conlaw first semester)

In my opinion fall is better than spring, I wasn't a huge contracts or property fan.  Crim law. and torts are pretty basic and civ. pro. involves a lot of memorization, but really isn't that bad.  Con law can be not that bad (if you get somebody like Devins for a prof. or supposedly horrible if you get somebody hard like Van Alsytne.)

Word on the street is new Macbooks next week (though, the same rumor was being spread that they'd be released this past Tuesday...sooo.. take that with a grain of NaCl). They'll be out in plenty of time to cop one before Aug 14th, for sure.
