Is anyone else on a LOT of waitlists/deferral lists?

Heh... I applied at 7 schools and have been WL at 5.

6 waitlists, 2 deferrals... but at least 6 acceptances... but the waitlist/deferrals are KILLER!

Applied to 16 total schools, have been put on 8 waitlists (1 rejection, 5 acceptances, 2 pending).  I'm staying on 4 of those right now, but damn, this is ridiculous.

People who apply to 19 schools (or something similarly excessive - I've seen 30+) could be the reason there is so much waitlist activity.

I have been waitlisted at 5 schools now. I applied in mid January...so maybe I was asking for it.

Yeah, I applied late too due to one of my professors forgetting to send out my LOR.

9 waitlists, 7 of which i care about, and 5 of which i would choose over my current school in a heartbeat. 

Also waiting on a U Chic hold, but waitlist is probably best scenario there.

this cycle really sucks.... hopefully we'll see a lotta action off these lists... probably not tho.
