My mother says I have some Indian blood.  I don't know how I'd feel about checking URM though lol.

EDIT: Yea apparently my mothers great grandmother was 100% blackfoot indian.

I wouldn't mind exploiting AA, because I don't believe in it.  So, having someone in my lineage be Indian, can I URM?

Ashley Klett's younger sister marked the "Asian" box on her college applications this year, after the elder Ms. Klett, 20, took a DNA test that said she was 2 percent East Asian and 98 percent European.

Whether it mattered they do not know, but she did get into the college of her choice.

"And they gave her a scholarship," Ashley said.<<

!!

to be fair, i DID think about doing this... but my conscious won out LOL  :D

Too bad asian isn't URM

This is more for the AA board, given that I am a firm opponent. BUT it shows how ridiculous it is, in my opinion, because it proves that almost anyone is a "minority" in some way. I think we ALL are minorities.. even if our color of skin may not show it. But I'll shut up now before I start a huge, pointless debate  ;)

And I think law schools would agree with you. This is probably why they encourage all applicants to share any information that should be factored into the adcomm's decision and why you don't have to be of a certain  skin color/ethnicity to submit a diversity statement...
