Thought I'd share ...

I just thought I would share this with everyone...

I was pretty nervous about these recommendations.  Especially about asking for them.  I know quite a few of my profs. but I don't really know any of them extremely well.  Or at least I didn't see it that way.

Anyways, I finally got around to asking for my recommendations this week and the whole thing has gone very well.  Everyone I asked is more than happy to do it and is willing to work with me on them in order to get them the way I want ...

My advice is...just go ahead an ask.  Everyone is probably pretty nervous about asking but it worked out fine for me and I'm sure it'll work out for you ...

Same here. Their responses have been along the lines of "Of Course!" and "I'd be delighted." Maybe because one is a total curmudgeon and no one has ever asked him for a rec before, but hey we get along.

My recs have gone well also... and everyone was very greatful that I gave them weeks to work on them instead of days... keep that in mind
