yeah - you have to send an official transcript and a dean's certification. 

i read somewhere (maybe it was law school confidential) that you should get a couple of copies of your official transcript for yourself as you will need them during law school. i don't remember why you need your official transcripts, but the authors thought they were useful.

What's this about official transcript? They have my stuff from LSAC don't they? I had already graduated when I applied. Do I need another one?

The LSAC one isn't the "offical" transcript...we got a big thing in the mail like 2 months ago that has everything we need to send them.

Unfortuntely those go to my parents' address and they tell me about half of what comes in.

I, too, will be at Georgetown in the fall.  I sent in my deposit and got a confirmation that they received it and my transcript.  Now if my dean's certification would just get there I'd be all set.  As for living situations, I'm already in the area and just re-signed my lease for another year, but if you have any questions about where to live, feel free to PM me.

What area do you live in now? I live right near Capitol South so it's walking distance to the school, but I"m planning on living on-campus.

hm, you received confirmation by email?  uhoh, i haven't gotten any confirmation, and my transcripts should have been sent out weeks ago.

I live in Takoma Park and am also planning on living on campus. Which kind did y'all put down for your "first choice"?

edit: and i put down the 2 bedroom apt as my first, followed by the 2 bedroom efficiencies, then the 3 bedrooms.
