sorry daynee but that is one of my biggest pet peeves - when people say "barnes and nobles." just because the store is two people's names doesn't mean it is possessive. i also don't like it when people say "happy new years" as opposed to "happy new year."

If you look a little closer, you'll notice I was using Barnes and Nobles as the plural of Barnes and Noble, as in "a bunch of." In my original post about the store, I used the singular, Barnes and Noble. Perhaps you would have prefered I say Barnes and Noble stores
Oh, and the possessive form of Barnes and Noble would be Barnes and Noble's
