I was at a law school fair back in Nov and there was a rep from Vermont.  She said about 50% are there for the enviro law program and a number of those do the joint degree programs.

I want to go but it's expensive for me, I sent them a letter asking them to reconsider my financial aid packet in light of new circumstances so that might help a little.

Anyway, there are two sides of environmental law right? Corporate and public interest. Does Vermont Law hold weight on both?

i spoke with a rep from vermont law as well and she told me many people do a visiting semester or year there.  That would be an option of your school does not have as many classes in enviro law as you like but you the job opportunities from it are better.

I'm not sure, but I would guess more weight on the public interest side, because most of corporate enviro law isn't so enviromental...

The visiting semester isn't a bad idea, but can't that mess up your class rank?

Well personally I'm going because they have a dual degree program with Cergy-Pontoise in which you get the J.D and the DESS-DJCE. I've talked to some French students/lawyers and they say Cergy-Pontoise's rep in law is pretty decent and there's a strong emphasis on the intl side of things. I also plan on doing the MSEL probably over a summer or so.

I chose not to apply there because I probably would've had to get a car and I like not having a car

I dont want to get a car either, damn Vermont keeps making themselves look unattractive to me.

Like I said, the only reason I'd go is for that joint program with the university in France.
