Thought I'd let you guys on the G-town WL boat know what I heard from a lady in admissions. I sent her a list of questions, this is the first one and her reply:
"1) Is there any way to find out my position on the waitlist? If
> I am at or
> near the top, I will begin to investigate housing and employment
> opportunities in the Washington D.C. without delay so that I can
> be prepared
> if I am selected to attend.

You are a part of a special group within the Preferred Waitlist. Essentially, it
is the top group, and I serve as your direct contact, etc., etc. However, it
all depends upon the number of spaces we have. . ."
So basically there are THREE tiers to the WL: regular, preferred, and "preferred preferred" I guess it should be called. Basically you can distinguish the latter letter because it says at the end that "this is the first year we have created this group" and that they "anticipate more seats opening up." Anyone else in this group with me? I like our chances at this point.
