I just sent my withdrawal letter to GWU. That was hard. It's hard to turn down an acceptance to a (relatively) prestigious school. But I think rather than move across country to attend a more or less regional school, I will work another year and save money and reapply next cycle. Anyone else having similar thoughts?

This is not how we all thought it would end, I know !

Hey, you have some awesome acceptances thus far, and I see that you are waitlisted at several great schools (why the withdrawal from Wash U?). Maybe it's a little too early to make a solid decision at this stage.  Why don't you keep all options open as of now?  I think it's good to keep in touch with all the schools that placed you on the waitlist (of course, you can withdraw from the ones that you wouldn't really want to attend).  You can accept if they offer you an acceptance, but if things don't work out, you can keep your job for another year and reapply.  To be honest though, I don't think your acceptances are bad at all.  Good luck!

If you really want to practice in SF, go to Hastings.  It places rather well in the Bay Area from what I've heard.  Money you save now will be balanced out by an extra year of a lawyer's salary after law school.

I was throwing this idea around also.  I live near Pittsburgh so if I am not accepted to Duquesne or Pitt I will be waiting another year.

I have a feeling you'll have a much better shot at UCLA with that 2nd LSAT. Interested in staying in LA for more schooling? What about if you get into USC?

I just want to get it over with.  It's bad enough that law school is three years long.

I once read an article that talked about how 3L is a joke but schools don’t want to get rid of it because of the $.

That must be hard.  However, if I retook the LSAT and got a 170, I would do the same thing!
