I chose lower middle class (due to salary+urban area), but I probably could have gone with working class due to the blue collar nature of the work.

Of course someone who has to support more people is going to have more expenses. That doesn't fundamentally alter your class, however, and other than paying for college, this doesn't significantly change things. Besides, when we ask about someone's background, we're basically asking about their parents' class, not really ours until we start our careers.

Management is probably lower-middle class if it's in a factory, but if you make big bucks...

Manager of a factory seems pretty middle class to me.  What's interesting is that my opinion of the class level of that job is directly influenced by the fact that my father is a printer.  I can assume GH from your post, that your parents are professional....
