UNC: Still Searching for a Law School Dean...

Not yet.

I went to the GW weekend last week and this week I'm going to William & Mary.  A major attraction for UNC was Dean Gene Nichol, though, when I was thinking of applying.  Since he's President of William & Mary now, that attraction is no longer there.  (Although there are many strong points for UNC still.)  I am concerned that there's no dean currently, because the dean seems to be a strong influence on the character of the schools.  It affects the money they raise (and what they do with it) and the kinds of faculty they attract.

Mweni Ekpo, director of admissions, actually gave me and 2 other prospectives a tour when I visited because no students were available. She was very nice and helpful so I'd suggest meeting with her if you cam. Just don't take my spot in the class
