Exclamation points are overused!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
« on: August 03, 2004, 12:17:42 AM »
Since the advent of the Internet craze and email, have you, as I, noticed that use of the ! has increased astronomically?  I now know personal statements can be informal (depending on who you talk to) but sorry, I just can't let myself use a ! in a personal statement.  Will you?
And the sign said "Long-haired freaky people need not apply" So I tucked my hair up under my hat and I went in to ask him why. He said "You look like a fine outstanding young man, I think you'll do.  So I took off my hat, I said "Imagine that. Huh! Me workin' for you!"Sign, sign, everywhere a sign..

No way do i have any in mine. In fact, i use them very rarely. ok. let me say that sentence again: In fact, i use them very rarely! they sort of imply that not only are u excited by your own words, but everyone else should be as well. It's too presumptive.
Few people understand the psychology of dealing with a highway traffic cop. Your normal speeder will panic and immediately pull over to the side. This is wrong. It arouses contempt in the cop-heart. Make the bastard chase you. He will follow.

It's certainly a break from the monotone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  One placed decorously can't hurt.
