Strangest gift you have ever received...
« on: August 02, 2004, 04:54:22 PM »
You all know we have gotten some strange presents in our day..share yours!!

Mine is the economy sized box of Slim Jims from a guy I was dating in college. I still have no clue why he bought me those. I mean, I like to "Snap into a Slim Jim" as much as the next girl, but in the beginning stages of dating...I think flowers would have been enough!

cho told me he was giving me a present but now it just burns when i pee.
Few people understand the psychology of dealing with a highway traffic cop. Your normal speeder will panic and immediately pull over to the side. This is wrong. It arouses contempt in the cop-heart. Make the bastard chase you. He will follow.

Picture this...

It was valentine's day and my bf and I were about to exchange gifts.  Along with purchasing some fun items, I also stayed up late the night before to bake hime some cookies.  The moment arrived and I went first. When it was his turn, he went out to his vehicle and came back with the scariest contraption I had ever seen.  After eyeing it dumbfoundedly for a couple of minutes, he finally explained what it was.  It was a lower body suit for me to wear when I went rollerblading.  Imagine... big pads for my inner and outer thighs along with butt pads.  Gee that is just what I needed... more thickness for my thighs and butt.  At the time I was so angry because he would laugh at me if I wore knee pads when I rollerbladed.  Can you imagine the ridicule I would have to endure for wearing a massive padded lower body contraption.

Looking back, I should have gladly accepted it.  I ended up cracking my tailbone on a curb fall a couple of weeks later. Ouch!

Usually I am not at all picky about gifts or lack of them.  However, when I tried that crazy body suit on he laughed and laughed and laughed.  Gee, I can't imagine why I would not want to keep something like that?!

LOL!  How thoughtful - he knew it didn't count as a present right?

My bf got me a tool kit for my b-day.  (This was when we first started dating).  I still laugh about it.  Why would I need tools when there are plenty of other people around dumb enough to do things for me?

I suppose it's not strange, but my bf has a talent -- finding the absolute ugliest cards and teddy bears on the face of the planet.

I think the strangest gift I ever got was a jigsaw puzzle wine cork.

I wish!!!

He truly thought it was the perfect gift.  I thought it was the perfect gift to knock him over the head with!
