Hmm.  I'm still waiting.  I also haven't sent them a transcript with any grades more recent than summer 2005 (it's complicated), so....I'm not really expecting anything.
Work, and a PT online MLIS.  Reapply down the line.

Hey guys, just thought I'd update anyone who was still waiting.  I broke down and called Yale to find out what was going on and (the extremely nice) woman I spoke with said there was a very slim chance they would be going to the waitlist again this summer, but it was not entirely out of the realm of possibilities.  The overall message though seemed to be, we're pretty much set.  Hope that sheds some light on the situation for you all!

That confused me as well, but I suppose they can do whatever they want.

why then would they continue to keep scores of students on the waitlist  ???.  i don't get why schools, especially ones with small classes, do this.  why keep hopes up when it's so clear there's a "slim chance" of admitting more than 2 or 3 people off the WL?

Let's face it.. their job isn't to please you, it's to make sure their class is the perfect size, with the perfect numbers, and the perfect people. It does suck to keep a lot of people waiting, but they won't know what they'll want from a waitlisted student until they know who pulls from their class. But getting on the Yale waitlist at all is amazing.
