W&M Law Camp?

What is it?

If I go to W&M do I want to go to it?  Anyone know anything more about it than what they sent out in the email?

It is mandatory, so you do it if you want to or not.  It is their intro to law school for the 1Ls.  Seems like it is a good reason to have us all come in a week early, though.  At least they don't just throw you in the deep end and ask you to swim for it.

Usually you meet with about 70 other students in the morning and discuss the reading for about two and a half hours, the reading is not much maybe like 15 pages a nite, but they want you to get used to it before classes start.  They also give you little writing assignments.  You then usually have a break for lunch, come back, and do something non academic like getting you pic taken or have them talk to you about some issue (I can't really remember what we did in the afternoons to be honest, but usually it didn't take long.)  You always will get the meet with the people in your legal skill law firm.  The first week I think we (my legal skills law firm) met for pizza at our legal instructor's house, don't know if the other sections did that.

Thanks for the info, philibusters.  The e-mail they sent out didn't really say much about what went on; it just mentioned its purpose, and then listed about 8,000 anonymous quotations from past students.
