Priority Waitlist vs Waitlist

Is there a real difference at all or do some schools just refer to the waitlist as a "priority" waitlist?

as the names suggest, if the school has both, they go off of their priority wailist first.

Well thats good news then, I guess. I got priority waitlisted from UIUC and was figuring it to be a temp-ding in reality. But if there is a real difference then maybe I'm still in it there and should send off a letter of continued interest and maybe another LOR.
