I don't think I can go there without some sort of scholarship...  Fed loans don't cover it.  I was thinking they did - silly me!  :o  The person in charge of the Diversity Scholarships was supposed to be back in the office by last Wed - so I'm hoping we'll hear before we have to save seats on April 15th.

you can get Grad PLUS loans from the government to cover your entire cost of attendance

What's a "Grad"?  (sorry if it's obvious  ???)  I thought everything capped out at around 38K or so.  Their stats say it costs 51K/year for tuition and living expenses.

Grad = Graduate

The interest rate is kinda high, but you can borrow the entire cost of attendance minus other aid.  So if you get no grant aid, 51k- 18.5k (32.5k would be the amount of graduate PLUS loans you would be eligible for).

I think the interest rate is 8.25% or something around there, so you may be able to get a lower rate from a private lender.

I had no idea there were graduate plus loans.  I met with the financial aid officer, and I don't recall him mentioning them.  Thanks for the insight - I'll look into it.   :-*
