Guys, here's my recommendation:

Thursday - some pants, a shirt of some kind, some shoes
Friday - some pants, a shirt of some kind, some shoes
Saturday - some pants, a shirt of some kind, some shoes

Be sure to follow this advice. Do NOT be the guy who comes without pants.

(Sorry goodgal, couldn't resist. ;))

is anyone else shocked that admitted students have to pay for their food when they go out?
ive been to a total of 4 schools for admitted students events and i have never had to pay for food and usually not even for alcohol. whats up with that?

The problem with me is that I don't own any cute flats. Boo

Allow me to highly recommend DSW -- I just got a pair of cute Kenneth Cole maryjanes for $40, and a pair of Gucci heels for $50! (Sadly, the Guccis are too high to wear around all day.)

My plan, like Goodgal, is likewise over-thought.  Here goes:

Thurs: jeans, sneaks, tee
Fri: comfy knee-high black boots, black tights, jean skirt, shirt tbd (possibly a black buttondown)
Sat: jeans, sneaks or flats, cute top (also tbd); for night, cuter shoes and a going-out type top

My packing problems are always the same... I don't like black and brown together, and I like having both cute and comfortable shoes, and I want to work out every day (my sis has a gym in her apt building)... so I end up with bags, belts and shoes in two different colors and a crapload of other stuff.  Sigh.  Gotta carry my bag to work, and it's gonna be a pain.  :-\

um, yeah, I'm planning to bring the same suitcase that I use to go to my parents house for week-long or more vacations  ;)

now, as for the Friday night "social" thing - are you guys thinking of wearing something more "going out worthy," or just wearing what you wore all day to the admit stuff?

I was thinking about taking a different shirt in my purse and doing a quick switcharoo...

Hey all-

Looking forward to seeing Penn and also to a four day weekend!

I can't believe I'm only just finding out about this site.  Probably a good thing, as this is exactly the kind of thing I would waste my time on rather than do any work.  Anyway, hope to see everyone down there.
Hutz: Mrs. Simpson, your case is just what I need to rebuild my shattered practice. Care to join me in a belt of Scotch?
Marge: It's nine o'clock in the morning.
Hutz: Yeah, but I haven't slept in days.
