i love how we all agree that semi-homemade lady is a crazy drunk   :D

The iron chefs are fantastic- I want to see the show live.  Does anybody know how they prep for it?  They aren't supposed to know about secret ingredient, but they seem to just happen to have key items necessary to make some amazing dishes- do they select certain staples before-hand?

THAT IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!  An AMAZING package!  CONGRATS!  For a second I thought you meant my department (I am a grad student) and I was like, wait, isn't this the LS board. ;)  I'm on pain meds...  Can W&M compete with your other offers (you're swimming in them it seems ;))?

first off, they have every ingredient known to man in kitchen stadium.  and i am really glad i am not the only one scared of the semi-homemade chick.

barefoot contessa is not lonely!  she had JEFFERY!  and all of her gay friends.  and she isn't drunk, she just loves wine. :D

I don't really like her show all that much- she tends to talk kind of slow, and it almost seems like she's not really sure if she is telling you the right recipe or not- either that, or she sucks at reading a teleprompter.

No, she's not really a contessa  :D

She started a shop in the Hamptons (which she mentions about four times an episode) called Barefoot Contessa, which was frequented by Martha Stewart, who featured her on her show Dr. Phil style.

Her husband was the dean of the Yale School of Management, presumably leaving her alone in the country to drink away her sorrows with an endless supply of flaming gay friends and weird ladies who garden.

She also worked in the OMB under Jimmy Carter.

Sax that is the best summation I have ever seen.

My mom and sister hae serious reservations about the true nature of her relationship with Jeffery, though.
