the stanford ding was nice, about how they are confident that with the caliber of their applicants everyone will find a good law school etc

Went Decision today, and there's no link to the Admitted Students forum. This actually softens the blow a bit, as I think I know what's coming.

Ditto.  I also do not see a link to the Admitted Students' forum.  I have difficulty understanding why they don't just post the result of the decision.  I mean, they make it quite obvious as to who gets in (acceptance e-mail, admitted students' link, etc.) and who doesn't (nothing).  The disparity in their treatment is unpleasant since it indirectly informs us of our rejection.  I'd rather have a slap in the face with a big "REJECTED!" posted on my status checker to save me from the slightest amount of hopeful speculation.   Oh well

Yeah. The way I am looking at it, I'm a little bit relieved to be fairly certain what's coming. I guess it might as well just say, "You are Rejected and Use-Less." But, I don't see it as being much different. Diff'rent strokes, I suppose. That said, I still plan on a nice St. Paddy's day in Austin, where free SXSW day shows and free beer abound. Also, Penn is set to become the first casualty of Texas's magnificent run to the 2006 Final Four. Swell. Ithaca, Schmithaca.
