I was accepted to RU-N in February. I sent my seat deposit in but still on some waitlist and waiting on Howard. Hope you get that big envelope too! I'm kinda worried about how I'm gonna handle convention in DC then going to the MSP Orientation in Newark the next day  :-\

And Newark can't be that bad...Like I said, I grew up in New Orleans..I'm not talking about Uptown or the French Quarters...I grew up in the 9th ward and my family lived there till Katrina hit.

Sup everyone.  I sent in my deposit as well but will entertain the thought of other schools if i get off their waitlist as well.

I guess like other poster here, its not the safety issue about the surrounding area, its more the "quietness of the area" at certain time.  Feels like im out in the country miles away from civilization.  I decided to look for a place in Hoboken or Jersey city.  At least the street noise will keep me company at night.

Has anyone started looking at apts in the Newark area?

anyone get deferred here??????     as of now, i am torn b/w miami and san diego.. however, none of the two offered me money, and the thought of going to ru w/ instate tuition sounds better and better....


Also - Newark is what you make of it!  It can be a great f-ing time.. ask anyone who's been to one of the better restaurants or the thousands who attend the Portuguese feast every year. 


but yeah, anyone who gets a response after getting deferred - let me know please!

I think Ill be going.  Anything to get out of work early.
That will also give me an opportunity to check out housing areound his way, if its even affordable.
