« on: March 06, 2006, 10:09:41 AM »
Hello guys, I got invited this weekend to Suffolk Law Diversity Welcome weekend. I'm wondeing what the dress code is since the invitation didn't specify. This is the run down of activities for the weekend:
Friday: 6-8pm Welcoming remarks by the Dean
6-8pm Social event at the Rack

Saturday: Tour of Law school
          Mock Class
          Mock Class
          Luncheon
          Student Panel
          Alumni Panel
          Recetion with students and Alumni

Sunday: I'm skipping so it doen' matter

Please anyone who has been to this kind of event please advise...I don't want to over-dress and I don't want to under-dress either.
Thanks in advance...John

Dress like 3-6 at the after parties, minus the grills.

Think "What would your mom tell you to wear"

Slacks, dry cleaned shirt
The president's approval rating has dropped to 33 percent, matching his low in May. His handling of nearly every issue, from the Iraq war to foreign policy, contributed to the president's decline around the nation, even in the Republican-friendly South.

"What would your mom tell you to wear", Ans: My mom will want me to wear my traditional Nigerian attire so that's why I'm not asking her. lol

I think you should dress business casual... I believe that some will wear suits..but I think that would be too much... slacks..button down and a blazer..sweater..or sweater vest... leave the tie at home...
We're not accepting this CHANGE UP in the rules. Period. American presidents have been in the bed with organized crime, corporate pilferers, and the like for years. And all u want to put on this man is that his pastor said "Gotdamn America?" Hell, America.U got off pretty damn well, if you ask me...

yes, 3-6 had on nice suits at the Oscar after parties.

Your mother would want you to dress professional and wear the traditional American businesswear.

Slacks, dry cleaned collared shirt.  I agree with Blk on the tie issue.

Good luck.
