There is no one thing. Everyone, black, white, or whatever is an individual and nothing makes you any more or less black. The second you attach "meaning" to being black you fall into the trap of stereotypes and generalizations. Now, if you want to learn about the black experience or black history, then I can recommend a few good books for you to read. Class dismissed.

I know what black means to others.  How it can affect their daily lives but skin color is only of secondary importance to me.  Development of your inner self is far more important than what others might peceive about the other you.

6. You must remember Martin and Living single
7. You must know most or the words to the "Flava in ya Ear Remix"
8. Your parents or grandparents used to have a jerry curl or Afro
9. You must have stood in line or know know someone who has when a new pair of shoes came out
10. You know how to do the electric slide, booty call, and dare I saw can follow instructions on the Cha Cha Slide
11. There must be a picture of the Black Jesus in one of your relatives house

Being black means having someone from Africa pass you some DNA. The End.
