Hi,

Unfortunately, I don't have any advice for you but I was curious about your reasons for Brooklyn > Cardozo. I live over 1,500 miles away so I'm pretty unfamiliar with both. But due to family reasons, I'm limited to NY schools so I'd like to hear more about them.

Basically: more extensive clinical opportunities, a more flexible curriculum, more resources in the area of public interest, stronger connections with local government, the facility...

That said, I don't think Cardozo is a step-down, at all, I think it just really depends on your interests. For instance, my sense from talking to a number of people is that Cardozo might be the better option if you are sure you want a shot at biglaw (but really only marginally, if at all).

Good luck :)

Anyone have any advice for me?

I would go to Cardozo. I just liked the school better through all my interactions with them. I also am inetersyed in pub interest. If I wasn't going to St. John's, I'd be getting ready to start the may prog. right now.

Also, if you take classes after your first year, you might lose a shot to do some interning somewhere.

On 2nd thought, you should ditch both and go to St. John's!

I've gotta start cheerleading for my school now.

I went ahead and faxed a letter to Brooklyn - I'll let the cards fall where they may.

St. John's is a great school, hope you love it!

I thought I was 100%. Now I'm back on the fence. I may see you in a couple months at Cardozo.

I think Cardozo's programs like the Innocence Project compare very favorably to Brooklyn's. And I like the fact that Card. and St. John's are smaller schools. But some people prefer big.

And, I'm sitting in on a class and going to the Skadden recep. on Wednesday, so I may wake up on Thursday all crazed to go to Brooklyn.

This is much harder than I ever would have guessed.

Good luck with your decision! Might see you after all.
