So after a long conversation with a Tulane admissions officer (who was extreamly efficient, btw - I was impressed) my file is going to be decided on this weekend....So, now that I am guaranteed not to sleep until next week, what do y'all think?  Will I get in, or get the dreaded DING from my first choice?

158 (156, 160 - they average), 3.5ish GPA from a state school.  I have also written them 3 (yeah, count em, three) letters about why they are my first choice (one unsolicited, one asked for a while ago, and one that the admissions officer said that I should write today), some good volunteer experience (saving starving children in africa and that whole bit), but not much in the way of work experience....

Let me have it, what do you think?  I know I am obsessing, I really can't do anything but obsess until I know one way or another.

I got in with a 3.5 and a 163 with few extracurriculars, and none of the helping starving people variety. I also didn't do anything to indicate that it was high on my list of schools. They even offered me 20k a year. I was |----| close to not even applying, when they asked me for next of kin on the app. Seemed kind of odd to me.

I bet you'll get in.

We take our kin very seriously down here in the southland.
