I'm white and thinking about Howard!

I'm from Northern Virginia and I really want to attend school in D.C. however, my grades and LSAT aren't good enough to get into G.W. or Georgetown. If I attend Howard will people always wonder why I attended a "black school?" Will it be more difficult to land a job post law school with a degree from Howard? Has anybody attended Howard that may have some relevant information for me? A friend of mine said that I would be treated differently while in school because of my ethnicity. Could this be possible? I'd hope the professors would be far above such actions. Any advice?

I doubt that you will be the only white person at Howard....when you graduate, you would probably be seen like any other grad of Howard....

I don't have the slightest clue how this would play in regards to job prospects... I wouldn't be shocked if your reason for attending was asked in an interview.

I would say apply. Worst case is that they reject you and the best case is that they accept you with scholarship money.

 I have heard that there are quite a few white people and of other races at the school. I think as a "minority" you may even get some $$$. I don't think too many firms will ask you why you went to Howard, I mean that would be inferring something about the school that I don't think they would want to do.

I have a white friend who went to Howard, a guy, got a good bit of scholarship money now works for the EPA and let's just say, he was never lonely. Check out the male-female percentage at Howard. I'm just saying!

Haha, too bad you can't kick a fg, then they be sure to accept you.  Everytime I see grambling st. or southern playing football on tv, it seems they have a white kicker.  I had a kid from my hs class who was white take a minority scholarship to go to Bowie St.,  a mostly black school in baltimore??,anyway somewhere in maryland.
