Berkeley DING

[Guess who's coming to dinner?!?]

My Dad just called and told my paper rejection came today.  I guess I was still holding out hope that there was amagic mistake or something...oh well

I just got home to find my very first rejection waiting for me in my mailbox.  I REALLY wanted to go to Boalt, but had assumed the worst.  I went complete 1/6 and didn't get the "still under review" email. 

I did get an email from toby about "the call" today though, so that softened the blow. WTF?!

I never got "under review." I don't think they reviewed mine, they probably just saw my GPA and trashed it.

I didn't get an "under review" before they dinged me, either. Whatever; Boaltt sucks.

Then again, maybe if you had a Benjamin McKenzie avatar instead of Adam Brody, you would have gotten in.

i live about an hour away too. so i guess maybe i'll get it tomorrow.

also i've been complete at santa clara since early jan andc have heard nothing...i live like 15 min away.

i only applied to 3 schools and have heard NOTHING yet so of course i'm starting to go a little bonkers.

I live in San Jose and got the white letter yesterday. I immediately remember when I got the accidental acceptance email and I thought to myself what a binch of jackasses. Oh well i always rooted for Stanford in sports anyways.

In some ways, the Boalt ding hurts most, since they supposedly look more at soft factors than other schools.  Getting rejected for my LSAT score...I can deal with that.  Getting rejected because I'm am just not swell enough holistically...harder to take.

I would say the Berkeley ding hurts the most because they sent out those email mistakes to people such as myself giving me false hope.
