I have been put on hold/deferral from a total of six schools: UPenn (EA), Boston College (EA), Cornell (EA), Chicago, Harvard and Columbia (in that order, I think).

I was then accepted to BC around mid-January (less than a month after being deferred) and to Penn at the very beginning of February.  So that's abot 4 weeks for the one and 6 weeks for the other.  And it's been about a month for Chicago, Harvard and Columbia with no new word.
