HELP! ON/OFF CAMPUS QUESTION FOR FAFSA
« on: February 24, 2006, 08:52:08 PM »
Okay, last question on the FAFSA asks about your housing plans- some schools have grad student housing, and yes, I want some of that- do I mark "on campus" or mark "off campus" because it's grad school- Someone please advise as quickly as possible!

Probably on campus; off campus generally refers to something that isn't affiliated with the university at all, like renting  a private apartment in town from a private realtor/broker or individual landlord.

grad schools tend to have housing for like 10% of the grad school population.  so even though I want on campus, i might not get it.  if I say "on campus" and get shunted off, do I miss out on $$$?

I'd go with "off campus" and then edit when your plans are more final.
