Awesome, i haven't been to Austin since I almost went there for undergrad.  What is up with the 2 day admitted students thing?  Other schools only have 1 day.  Anyone know?

Thanks, just saw that.  Sounds like I should hit Thursday up as well.  Has anyone heard about scholarships?  They are really vague on the boards.

Sounds good.  I hear 6th street calling.

Don't forget that we're a couple years older now.  5th and 4th streets call louder, and our worn ears may no longer hear the pitch of 6th.  :'(

You know, I think I'll go party in Austin whether I get in or not!

got a letter about $5000 a yr + in state tuition thing a few days ago. I think they match money as well. I sent in the letter from northwestern yesterday.

From what I can tell from LSN and from other LSD comments, if you don't have a scholarship offer by about 2 weeks after your admit letter then you are left with trying to use the matching program (basically t14 schools) or perhaps getting a need based offer along with you SAR which should come in March.

Can the mere "threat" of going to a T14 convince UT to toss out some money?

Am I crazy for thinking they may offer me money with my numbers?

Ah, well good luck to you as well, maybe we'll both get lucky   :)   Not looking great with the 166 though.

I plan to inquire into this myself but, if anyone already has, I assume that UT is not offering to cover travel expenses nor to host prospectives with current students? The online description is pretty vague.
