Are biglaw hours in London similar to those in places such as NYC? What is a typical workweek in terms of hours for you?

What is a typical workweek in terms of hours for you?I have no basis for comparison with a firm in NYC. I haven't worked at one. There's no such thing as a typical work week. When you're busy, it's insane. We're on a major deal right now and as a result I've been billing like a mad woman for the last four months, almost never leaving the office before 8 and rarely having a full weekend off. A colleague who started with me hasn't worked a single weekend and always leaves no later than six. BIGLAW anywhere is unpredictable. It really depends on the deals you're staffed on and the market.
