SASE for Deposits
« on: February 08, 2006, 04:41:13 PM »
I was just reading Columbia's discription of their deposits, and I just had to share:  "Return the Acceptance Card to the Office of Admissions by May 1, 2006 in the pre-paid stamped envelope provided, with a $500 deposit"

Now, given that you're sending them $500, does the pre-paid envelope really make enough of a difference that they have to mention it in the instructions?  I mean, seriously.  "Give us $500, but we'll pay the 39."  Not that they do pay 39... I'm sure they get a non profit rate or something.

George Mason sent an envelope with a normal stamp attached.  I think it is good in that it will get those who aren't going to attend to use the free stamp to let the school no, instead of putting it off until they finally get a chance to run to the post office.
