there was also a question about using some kind of bacteria maybe? to absorb pollutants from the air as a cheaper way than the mechanical testers. something about copper in the air specifically. i thought the answer was something like it assumed that whatever it is that can replace the machine can absorb other pollutants just like it does to copper...but i was sketchy on this one.

Yes! Something about assuming lichens absorb other bacteria as well as copper.

A:  Mercury level still rises if polluters stop dumping because mercury polluted soil still gradually erodes and washes into the river.


Clarification on the Tax/Savings question


The official wants to increase savings by increasing sales tax and decreasing income tax. At the same time, he asserts that current level of government services will be maintained.

A:  The change in the tax structure will still result in the same amount of tax money collected by those bastards at the IRS.
