Quick question to mel and B.K., how did you request an expedited response?  Was it by tel, email, or fax?  I
sent them an email on Monday and have received nothing in reply.  Did you guys get a response prior to the
decision email?

I contacted them via email. Prior to that, they hadn't sent me any response.
It took them about 10 days for them to get back to me though, so I bet they'll get back to you, in time.

Do we know of anyone who requested an expedited response and got in, or is it all expediated dings?

I was just thinking about this and I'd suggest being a little careful before requesting an expedited response.

It seems reasonable to think that this request would probably kill your chances of being put on the waitlist -- I know at Yale waitlist pretty much = ding, but for anyone who's actually interested in being on the waitlist, I'd take a second thought.

For what it's worth, I requested an expedited response (last week) and was waitlisted... So clearly it doesn't completely kill your chances of being put on the waitlist. (Although, as you point out, a WL pretty much = a ding, so it's not particularly meaningful).

Dinged today via email as expected.  I really thought it would bug me more.  I guess having my heart set on New York was a significant factor in that.

Good luck to those still "Obsessing"
