Let me clarify what miles said.

At the admit weekend, miles and I met a guy who told us that about 200 people are invited to apply. Only about 20 students get the scholarship. These 200 (according to the current student) are from the early admittance group who attended the admit weekend. I guess the fact that they attended shows their interest. But at least that is what he told me and miles. We could be WAY off.... this is simply coming from a current student. (who currently has the scholarship)

You're wrong on at least one count...I did not attend the weekend but I still got the invitation to apply ;)

yep, i didn't go either and i got the invite.

i'm not sure about this.  in the letter it says UP TO full year's tuition for each of the three years.

I asked him if all deans scholars winners got full tuition for all three years. He said he thinks so. Maybe they just say that? But if they only give out 20, it seems doable.

FWIW, I haven't gotten an invitation yet, and I have pretty comparable numbers to most of you.  Then again, I didn't get my admit binder until about 3-4 days after most of you were reporting it in the mail call thread...

Speaking of admit binder, I didn't get mine at all. Do you think they're trying to economize on me?

I've seen no admit binder, nor scholarship invite. While I don't necessarily expect the latter, the absence of the former is a bit of mystery. I've been an accepted student at GULC since November 1.

Are people only just now receiving these things? And is there anything fun or new in them?

I haven't gotten an admit binder either.  but i did get an envelope with two inserts: a booklet about all the full time faculty and a brochure about their international law program.  has anyone gotten a different mailing with an "admit binder"

Thanks for the vote of confidence. But for a year spent as a computer science major... But, yeah, I'll post if anything comes my way. I live about a half-mile outside D.C., so I'm guessing transit time isn't the issue.

Good to know that I'm not the only one without a binder, though. I stopped thinking about it for a few months after I got the acceptance until I realized, "Hey, I have no idea how to enroll at this school."
