I see that we're not talking about *truly* unusual words/phrases but more about uncommon ones in everyday usage. Some more from mine, then:

ontological

Marry me??  ;D

It'll have to be in a state where it's legal - I'm a girl  ;)

Thank god for variety, right?

Nah, I don't mean to sound pretentious (though I probably do).  It's just the way I was taught and developed.  I fancy myself a decent writer (and apparently so do other people), but that's just not my style.

Your use of "ontological" should trump both sexual orientation and state legislation...sorry, it's just that my philosophical geekdom has been satisfied for the day.  ;)

Mr. Shears: Didn't think you were pretentious at all! I think you're right to balk at the "and" from a grammatical standpoint, but I'm a big fan of learning the rules and then breaking them!  ;D

'unnatural, and frightening, and absurd'

That extra "and" is driving me crazy.  :P

I chose to use that extra "and" for a literary and breathless effect. It is used in describing a hot and sweaty moment.

Breaking the rules is dangerous stuff and reserved only for folks who CAN write or THINK they can write.  The above likely works well.

::)  I did it.  What's that say 'bout me?   ;D

It says that you assume I can't write.  I think BC would disagree with you.

Yeah, no...

I didn't assume that.  Sry you inferred more than I intended to imply.
