Re: credit reports

I just went online and got my credit score the other day.  I wasn't worried about anything and my score was fine, but seeing my debt on paper really impressed upon me how much I need to cut back in order to be ready for law school.

You can get a credit report from TransUnion (or any one of the three credit companies) for around $5.00.  I would encourage you to go ahead and get your report so that if anything is wrong, you can fix it between now and the time you apply for loans.  The report is great because they list things that would help you improve your score, such as paying off credit cards, school debt, etc.  I'm planning on paying some of my debts off in the next few months and then getting another credit report to make sure I'm good to go.

As for loans, I'm not sure about that either.  I think you do that in May????
