Has anyone confirmed that option #4 actually works? I have my SAR on which I listed the first six schools. If I go ahead and correct it, is there a chance the original schools won't get it if I correct it too quickly?

that was my concern...it felt WAY too easy so i called and asked.  I asked if I could go in and change schools as soon as I got that "processed and ready" email...they said yes absolutely....

Well I just did optoin #4. I really hope it doesn't keep the schools in the first submission from being able to access my SAR or knowing it's available. Does each correction generate a new transaction number, such that you can view each "version" of your SAR?

After my correction processes I think I'm going to call/e-mail all my schools to make sure they got it. (Ok, so I'm a little paranoid.)

so i just filed my FASFA...now i just wait till it is processed and can't do anymore schools until i get that e-mail?

The 4th option does work.  I know that because I sent my fafsa to 17 of the 20 schools I've applied to.  USC was in the second group of schools that I sent to the FAFSA (the first "correction") and the USC site indicates that they received my FAFSA the same day that I did the secound round of corrections, which makes since because that was the day that I got the email back saying that my first corrections had been processed.  Also, Wisconsin sent me an email (they were in the first batch, pre-corrections) that they received my FAFSA.  I have no confirmation yet that those in the 3rd group/second corrections have gotten their ppwk yet, but since it worked the first and second time, there's no reason to assume that the third was problematic.

And doing the FAFSA and two rounds of corrections only took about a week -- so I don't know what this whole thing about taking weeks to get it all done is all about.

I did three rounds of corrections (PT schools on one - i'm anal)and it took less than a week. very easy!

My first email (after the initial filing) took much longer than the remaining.  First took a week, the remaining four took one to two days each.
